Tongue & Groove Moulding Catalog

A tongue and groove are joints used to connect two wood objects after the milling process. Single lumber would have a groove milled on one side edge, and a tongue milled on the opposite side. A void area is usually incorporated into the design to compensate for seasonal changes in relative humidity; this area allows the boards to move during these weather changes without damaging the lumber.

Many of our tongue and groove siding details will mill to any size width you desire; we even have more options for siding profiles located in our shiplap category, these patterns will have a shiplap joint instead.

Like flooring, v-groove paneling, or nickel board, many of our profiles are milled from the right and left vertical cutter heads on an industrial moulder. For these types of patterns, use thickness dimensions when searching. If you want a specific size, enter face coverage dimensions in the minimal and maximum spaces provided. This feature will save time when finding the profile you desire.
