Tongue & Groove 11/16" - 4

This 11/16" - 4 nickel board siding measures .687" in thickness and widths are adjusted to any desired size within the parameters of the molder or shaper used to mill the pattern. The profile comprises a 15/16" wide offset tongue and a 3/4" wide offset groove specifically designed for blind nailing during installation. This unique design provides a solid surface to nail. Without this offset it raises the probability of splitting the lumber on the tongue portion due to the void area behind the tongue when nailed. In the channel portion of the pattern, there is a five-degree bevel to allow moisture to flow onto the face of the siding the points away from the joining area. When two pieces of lumber are joined, they create a decorative 3/32" wide channel that's about the same thickness as a nickel.
