Tongue & Groove 11/16" - 20

This 11/16" - 20 v-groove siding measures various widths by .687" thickness, requiring the use of a 1/4" wide oversized blank of the finished width of four-quarter lumber for milling on an industrial moulder. The classic v-groove profile contains a 9/32" tall by 13/32" wide groove with a 1/4" wide by 11/64"deep beveled edge on the right. The opposite side retains a 17/64" tall by 3/8" broad tongue with the identical size bevel. When two pieces of machined lumber are joined, they create a 1/2" wide by 17/64" deep v-groove with a .014" void in the joint area for expansion and contraction of the wood during seasonal changes in relative humidity.
