Tongue & Groove 5/8" - 17

This 5/8" - 17 tongue & groove paneling measures .625" in thickness; the width is limited only by the parameters of the machinery used to mill the pattern. The profile consists of a 1/4" tall by 3/4" deep overlap tongue and groove flanked by 3/16" vertical lines. This offset pattern is perfect for projects that require blind nailing during the installation process. When two milled pieces of lumber are merged, they create a 1/8" wide by 3/16" deep channel on one face side of the joined boards. There is a .008" void in the joint area for expansion and contraction to accommodate seasonal changes in relative humidity. This knife design includes four-degree draft angles to maintain the ability to sharpen the cutters without altering the profile while prolonging the milling time between sharpening.
