Tongue & Groove 5/8" - 8

This 5/8" - 8 v-groove siding measures .625" in thickness, and the left vertical cutter heads determine widths when milling. When two pieces of milled lumber are joined, they create a 1/8" wide by 1/16" deep v-shaped channel on the face side of the merged boards with a 1/32" wide gap on the bottom to ensure a tightly closed joint on the face side of the pattern when assembled during installation. The profile consists of a 1/4" tall by 9/32" deep t & g with a 1/16" deep" by 1/16" wide bevel on the edge of the pattern. There is a .010" void area in the joint for expansion and contraction during seasonal changes in relative humidity.
