Bullnose 1-1/2"

This 1-1/2" bullnose measures 1.500" in thickness. The profile comprises a 3/4" radius half-circle with a 5/32" blend area on each side of the pattern. The suggested rough wood rip size using eight-quarter lumber is 1/4" wider than the final width. Please note that bullnose profiles are milled from vertical cutterheads; you cannot use them for milling half-rounds because of the extra blend area incorporated in the knife design if you're looking to mill a half round, please search in that category. The same dilemma holds for half-rounds; they are milled from the top cutterhead, the knives will come within .020" of the machine's bedplates, and they do not have any blend areas built into the cutter design. This detail is milled on the right cutterhead so the machine's guide fence after the left cutterhead will not indent and damage the radius from the sharp edge of the fence.
