1-1/2" Half Round

This 1-1/2" half-round measures 1.500" wide by .750" in thickness, allowing the pattern to be milled from four-quarter lumber. The simplistic convex profile comprises a 1-1/2" wide half-circle. This is a great profile to utilize fall-off rips of lumber. Please note that the knife design is not intended to machine a bullnose detail because it has no blend area built into the cutters. The reason is that the detail is milled from the top cutter head and runs .020" away from the bedplates on the machinery. Please search our bullnose profiles for a nosing that is milled from either the right or left cutter heads; these patterns have blend areas built into the knives.

Caution; the cutters will come within .020" of the machine bed plates when milling this detail. We recommend using a wooden, phenolic, or plastic sacrificial bed plate for these milling operations.
