This 7" Cyma Recta Crown Moulding - 3 measures 7.000" wide by 1.000" thickness with a depth of cut of .439" on the right vertical profile blades, a .411" depth of cut on the left set of knives, and a .750" depth of cut on the top horizontal set of cutters. We have a large assortment of similar style profiles with different widths, heights and projections, here are just a few sizes you may want to review and consider for your finish trim project, crown moulding 1.500" - 9, crown 2.000" - 6, crown 2.500" - 1, crown 3.000" - 19, crown 4.000" - 1, crown 5.500" - 44, and crown 8.500".
The large profile is comprised of a 1-15/16" radius arc, tangent off of a 2-5/8" radius semicircle creating a graceful cyma recta in the center, connected to a 47/64" tall vertical line on the top. The lower portion of the design consists of a 51/64" tall vertical line, attached to a 7/8" wide horizontal line forming a squared fillet at the bottom of the pattern. The spring angles are fixed at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees, these specific back bevels set the installed height at 5-3/8" tall, with a projection of 4-1/2" wide. Two high points in the design were deliberately positioned on the same plane, our high-tech design features will assure top notch hold down conditions while milling the detail on an industrial moulder, providing the pressure shoe is parallel to the bed plates.
Ever wonder why some knives never exactly line up with one another in the cutter head? Maybe a Weinig Opti Measuring Stand, and reviewing the process in which you align the blades in the cutter head will help eliminate this issue.
