Tongue & Groove 7/16"

This 7/16" tongue & groove v-joint measures .437" thickness, authorizing machining out of resawn six or solid four-quarter lumber. The width gets milled to any desired size within the parameters of the moulder or shaper used to cut the pattern. The attractive profile comprises a 3/16" wide by 9/64" tall tongue & groove with a 1/8" by 1/8" forty-five degree chamfer on the side edges. There is a .006" void in the joint area for expansion and contraction of the wood during seasonal changes of relative humidity. When two pieces of milled lumber get joined; they create a ¼" wide by 1/8" deep v-groove on the face side of the merged boards.
