This bold 2-1/8" heavy timber v-gap decking/roofing comprises a 13/16" beveled tongue & groove joint with a .096" void built into the design for easy assembly with such large timbers. When two pieces of lumber are joined, they create a decorative 1/2" wide by 3/16" deep v-groove on the top face and a 1/16" gap on the bottom of the merged planks. The pattern measures 2.125" in thickness, and the widths are predetermined before milling the process. The suggested rough wood rip size using twelve-quarter lumber is 3/8" larger in width than the sought-after milled dimension.
