Shiplap Moulding 8-5/8" - 3

This 1-9/16" channel shiplap siding moulding 8-5/8" - 3 measures 8.625" wide by .875" thickness, enabling the detail to be machined from either four or five quarter lumber. The well-designed profile is composed of a 6-3/8" wide straight flat line in the center, attached to a 1/2" wide by 3/8" deep 36.918 degree angled line that transitions the thickness to 1/2" in the center, joined to a 1-3/4" wide 4.086 degree angled line, 11/16" of this line fits into the rabbet on the opposite side. When two pieces of milled lumber are joined together they create a 1-9/16" wide by 29/64" obtuse tapered channel to help displace moisture, the exposed face coverage dimension for installation purposes becomes 7-15/16" wide. We offer a few alternative profiles in the same width but with different sized plows for your review and consideration, shiplap siding 8.625" - 2, shiplap siding 8.625" - 4 and shiplap siding 8.625" - 6.

This cad generated dxf file (purchase in the link below) contains three skillfully drafted template designs for producing knives for this creative shiplap siding pattern, one for milling the entire face, one for the rabbet and one for milling just the profile poortion of the design. All our innovative profiles have a proven unbroken computer numerical control (CNC) tool path expediting the production process.
