Applied Moulding 3/8" - 12

This small plant on/applied moulding 3/8" - 12 measures .375" wide by .281" thickness. The miniature design is comprised of a 5/16" radius convex arc that's tangent off of a 5/32" radius concave semicircle, creating a small cyma reversa, leaving a 1/8" thickness dimension on the thin side of the pattern. The above images show the profiles being milled standing upward; it is explained as laying the opposite way. We have a few similar profiles you may want to review and consider the next time you trim out a staircase, plant on .375" - 15 and applied moulding .750" - 35.Caution: the cutters will come within .010" of the machine bed plates when milling this detail. We recommend using a wooden, phenolic, or plastic sacrificial bed plate for these milling operations. We also suggest installing an anti-kickback device on the machinery anytime you attempt to mill multiple profiles using a splitter knife or saw blades.
