Ogee - Moulding Catalog

An ogee/cyma is an s-shaped trim profile consisting of two tangent radii with semicircular arcs. We utilize the convex portion of one semicircle and the concave section of the other, creating an S-shaped curvature. Ogees can have either the cyma recta or cyma reversa; these profiles are usually flanked by vertical line segments, known as fillets. We currently offer over one hundred twenty ogee patterns, including cyma recta/reversa designs in sizes ranging from five-sixteenths of an inch to one and five-eighths inch thickness. These detailed profiles can be used for a wide range of applications, including baseboard, casing, countertop nosings, shelf edges, and so many more. When searching our ogee or cyma recta/reversa profiles, please use finish thickness dimensions to narrow size preferences; all these designs are cut from a vertical cutter head on either a shaper or industrial molder. This category of patterns will save money in production costs since they are all milled from a lumber's side edge. You also have the versatility to change widths to any desired size within the parameters of the machinery used to mill the products with a simple radial adjustment on the molder or shaper.
