This
6701 handrail 2-3/4" measures 2.750" wide by 2.125" tall, enabling the detail to be machined out of glued-up pieces of four, five, and six-quarter lumber. The stylish colonial profile consists of bidirectional ten degrees beveled top with 1/4" radius edges, the sides are composed of 3/16" rounded edge fillets attached to an 11/16" cove for grasping the railing, joined to a decorative 3/8" half round bead and a 3/16" vertical line segment on the bottom edges. The downloadable dxf file contains two ways to mill this pattern, one with the side edges included in the top knives and the other with the top round-overs milled with the side cutter heads.
