15/32" Half Round

This 15/32" Half Round measures .468" wide by .234" thickness, with a .244" depth of cut on the top horizontal cutters. Caution, the knives will come within .010" of the machine bed plates when milling this detail. We recommend a wooden, phenolic, or plastic sacrificial bed plate be used for these milling operations.

The profile is comprised of two 3/8" wide half circles divided by a single 5/32" wide splitter. As with every split moulding operation, we recommend installing an anti-kickback device on the moulder before attempting to mill any of our multiple profiles. Utilize fall-off rips of lumber while doubling production in half the amount of time with this unique split two custom half-round profile. This pattern is not intended for milling a bullnose detail; it has no blend area built into the knife because half rounds are milled from the top horizontal cutter head. Please search our bullnose for nosing that is milled from the right or left vertical cutterheads, all these types of blades have blend areas built into the design.
