Crown 6" - 21

This influential 6" - 21 crown mould measures 6.016" in width by 1.000" thickness, necessitating the use of five-quarter lumber for machining sprung (laying horizontally flat) on a commercial-grade molder. The fascinating supporting profile contains a 3/32" tall recessed fillet joined to a 61/64" wide protruding bullnose with a 5/32" vertical line on the top left. Attached to a free-flowing two tangent radius cyma recta with a 1/8" drop-in elevation joined to a 15/64" cove in the center. The underneath portion consists of a 3/16" wide by 9/16" tall notch for inserting a piece of 1/2" rope mould, and a 1/8" horizontal fillet with a 1/2" radius quarter round arc on the bottom right side of the design. The fixed spring angles get set at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees; these particular back bevels keep the exposed face side of the profile parallel to the wall and ceiling when installed, as well as set the oriented height at 3-15/16" tall with a projection of 4-3/4" across the top.
