This 3-5/8" - 21 colonial crown mould measures 3.652" width by .750" thickness, requiring a 3-7/8" blank of four-quarter lumber for milling sprung (laying horizontally flat) on an industrial moulder. The old-world terminating profile comprises a 5/16" vertical line segment on the top left. The segment connects the free-flowing cyma recta with a 1/4" cove flanked by horizontal and vertical fillets in the center. The lower portion comprises a 13/16" tall by 1/4" deep perpendicular notch for inserting rope or dentil moulding. The rabbet joins a 23/64" concave semicircle and a 1/4" half-circle with a 1/8" by 19/64" squared lines on the design's bottom right corner. The spring angles are fixed at thirty and sixty degrees, these precise back bevels keep the face side of the profile parallel to the wall and ceiling when installed; they also lock in the positioned height at 3-1/16" tall with a 2" projection across the top.
