Crown 2-3/4" - 5

This classic 2-3/4" - 5 crown mould measures 2.750" wide by .625" thickness, requiring a three-inch wide blank of four-quarter lumber for milling sprung (laying horizontally flat) on a commercial moulder. The standard terminating profile comprises a 13/32" tall vertical line on the top left. The line connects to a free-flowing two-tangent radius cyma reversa with a 7/32" vertical line in the center. The short fillet attaches to a 27/64" cove and a 17/64" broad horizontal line on the design's bottom right corner. The spring angles are fixed at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees, these specific back bevels set the installed height at 2-1/8" tall with a projection of 1-3/4" wide. Two high points in the detail were deliberately positioned on the same plane; our disciplined design features will assure excellent hold-down conditions while milling, providing the pressure shoe is parallel to the machine bed plates.
