Cove 5/8" - 4

This thin 5/8" - 4 cove mould measures .625" wide by .375" thickness. The short profile comprises a 1/8" broad segment on top, connected to a two tangent radius elliptical-shaped cove joined to a 1/16" vertical line at the bottom of the pattern. This profile is designed to mill two pieces simultaneously, saving production time while utilizing fall-off rips of lumber from your saw.

Mirror Reflections provides the cut steel size on all our molding template designs, this critical information allows you to purchase the correct size width of knife steel before you start grinding procedures for production.

Caution: the cutters will come within .010" of the molder bed plates when milling this detail. We recommend a wooden, phenolic, or plastic sacrificial bed plate for these milling operations. For safety concerns, we strongly suggest installing an anti-kickback device on the machinery before attempting any milling procedures involving splitting lumber into multiple pieces.
