WM 209 Shingle Mould/Cornice 2" - 7

This WM 209 shingle mould/cornice pattern 2" - 7 measures 2.000" in width by 687" in thickness. We advocate using 2-1/4" wide blanks of four-quarter lumber for milling with commercial equipment. Initially utilized on the exposed part of a gabled rooftop that extends from an eave to the ridge of the roof's sloped sides, also known as the building rake. The traditional shingle detail comprises a 7/8" broad flat line on the top left. It attaches to a bidirectional congee consisting of a 9/32" radius concave & convex semicircle tangent to a 3/8" line segment in the center. The convex arc joins to a 7/32" broad straight line, leaving a 9/32' thickness dimension on the design's right edge. The recommended rough wood rip size using four-quarter lumber is 2-1/4" wide. There is a smaller version of this profile with similar design characteristics for your review and consideration, cornice 1.625" - 1.
