This WM 224 batten pattern 2-1/4" - 14 measures 2.250" in width by .562" in thickness. A batten is often a symmetrical profile used to conceal the seams where two parallel panels of exterior siding or interior paneling join. The balanced pattern comprises a 1-1/4" wide by 1/8" tall raised fillet on the top center. It's flanked by a 1/2" wide two tangent radius ogee leaving a 1/8" thickness dimension on each side edge of the pattern. We encourage the use of 2-1/2" wide blanks of four-quarter lumber for milling with industrial equipment.
