60 Degree Back Bevel Cutter - 2

This 60 Degree Back Bevel Moulding Knife - 2 is designed for milling a sixty-degree chamfer on the left backside of a crown/cove moulding piece. These knives create only half of the determining factor of the final height and projection when the cove/crown moulding is installed. The other half of the mathematical equation is generally a degree (in this case, thirty) that combined equals ninety degrees or slightly more. This 60-degree angle has a maximum depth of cut of 1.312"; the maximum height of cut is set at .758". Every crown, cove & bed mould we design has height numbers near the edge of every degree angle. That number must be smaller than the height number; in this example, the number is .758" for this knife to properly cut the entire bevel while milling; if not, please select a different-sized bevel.

We intentionally design all our crown patterns with forty-five-degree and under bevels milled on the right vertical cutterhead, and all forty-five-degree and higher cuts are milled on the left cutterhead. This specialized practice will save thousands of dollars in manufacturing costs.
