34 Degree Back Bevel Cutter

This 34-degree back bevel moulding knife is designed to mill a thirty-four-degree chamfer on the right side of a piece of crown, cove, or bed mould. These knives create only half of the determining factor of the final height and projection when the crown moulding is installed. The other half of the equation for crown/cove moulds will be a degree that combined equals ninety degrees or slightly more. On this knife design, the maximum depth of cut is .625", and the maximum height of cut is set at .927". Every sprung moulding we layout has height numbers near the degree bevel; that number must be smaller than the height number, in this case, .927", for this knife to be able to work properly while milling. If not, select a larger size height of the same degree.

We design all our sprung moulding with forty-five-degree and under bevels milled on the right cutterhead, and all forty-five-degree and higher bevels milled on the left cutterhead.
