Tongue & Groove 3/4" - 83
This 3/4" - 83 nickel board siding measures .750" thickness, allowing any sized blank of four-quarter lumber for milling. The width is milled to any desired size within the moulder/shaper parameters used to cut the pattern. The profile comprises a 3/8" wide by 1/4" tall offset tongue. The groove dimension is 1/4" tall by 9/32" wide; there is a .015" void in the joint for expansion and contraction of the wood during seasonal changes in relative humidity. When two pieces of milled lumber get joined together, they create a 1/8" channel (commonly called nickel board) on one face side of the merged boards.
