Tongue & Groove 3/4" - 69

This fashionable 3/4" - 69 gap siding measures .750" in thickness. The profile is commonly referred to as nickel board; this name is derived from the channel width being about the same thickness as a nickel, which measures about .074". The right female side has a 1/4" tall by 7/16" deep groove. The male side is 1/4" tall by 3/8" wide offset (by .062") tongue with a built-in .015" void in the joint area to allow for expansion and contraction of the wood during seasonal changes in relative humidity. When two pieces of milled lumber are joined, they create a 1/16" wide by 1/4" deep channel providing an enhanced architectural appeal when installed. This design layout allows milling of any desired size within the parameters of the machinery used to cut the pattern.
