Tongue & Groove 3/4" - 65

This 3/4" - 65 channel/gap siding moulding measures .750" thickness, permitting the detail to be machined out of four-quarter lumber; the width is milled to any desired size within the parameters of the moulder/shaper used to cut the pattern. The decorative profile is comprised of an offset groove measuring .456" wide by .273" thickness with a .331" deep dado for the tongue to fit into when joined. The opposite side measures .531" wide by .287" thickness with a .406" offset like the groove, this offset allows the siding to be blind nailed on the groove edge, the tongue would cover the nail when the next piece of siding is inserted. There is a .010" void area built into the design on the top & bottom of the joint for seasonal changes in relative humidity. When two pieces of milled lumber are joined together, they create a 1/4" wide by 1/4" deep channel/gap on the face side of the merged boards.
