Tongue & Groove 3/4" - 31

This typical 3/4" - 31 tongue & groove flooring measures .750" in thickness, and the width can be machined to any desired size within the parameters of the moulder/shaper utilized to mill the pattern. The profile consists of a 1/4" wide by 1/4" tall tongue and groove with a .006" void built into the joint area for expansion and contraction during seasonal changes in relative humidity. The detail retains a small nail groove to hide the fastener, so it doesn't interfere with the joint when assembled. A 1/32" wide gap on the bottom side will ensure a tight fit on the face side when two pieces of milled lumber are joined during installation. The offset in the height of the tongue and groove was intentionally designed to leave enough wood for sanding the floor over the years without the nail groove ever being exposed; you can adjust axially to whatever height position you desire before milling.
