This 9/16" - 8 tongue & groove paneling measures .562" in thickness; the width is machined to any desired size within the parameters of the moulder/shaper used to mill the pattern. The profile is composed of a 3/16" tall by 1/4" wide groove on the right and a 3/16" tall by 7/32" wide tongue on the left, and both exposed faces have a 1/16" beveled edge. When two pieces of milled lumber join, they create a 1/8" wide by 1/16" deep v-groove on one face side of the merged boards. There is a .008" void in the joint area for expansion and contraction of the lumber during seasonal changes in relative humidity.
