Tongue & Groove 7/16" - 5

This 7/16" - 5 tongue & groove butt joint measures .437" thickness, authorizing machining from resawn six-quarter lumber. The width is milled to any desired size within the parameters of the moulder or shaper used to cut the pattern. The oversimple profile comprises a 5/32" wide by 1/8" tall centered tongue and groove joint. There is a .006" void in the joint area for expansion and contraction of the wood during seasonal changes in relative humidity. Our professionally designed acrylic templates and knives include the required draft angles and blend areas to maintain the ability to sharpen the blades properly without modifying the detail, while simultaneously prolonging the milling time between sharpening.
