Tongue & Groove 5-3/4"

This 5-3/4" tongue & groove siding measures 6.000" overall width and a thickness of .750", requiring a 6-3/4" wide blank of four-quarter lumber for milling on an industrial moulder. The simplistic but decorative profile contains two 2-5/8" flat line segments divided by a 1/4" wide by 1/8" deep v-groove in the center with a 1/8" forty-five-degree chamfer on both side edges. The tongue and groove dimensions are 1/4" wide by 1/4" deep with a .008" void in the joint area for expansion and contraction of the material during seasonal changes in relative humidity. When two pieces of milled lumber are joined together, they create a 1/4" v-groove between the merged boards.
