Tongue & Groove 5-1/2" - 3

This concave 5-1/2" - 3 tongue & groove siding measures 5.500" wide by .781" thickness, allowing the detail to be machined out of four-quarter lumber. The scooped-out profile is comprised of a 9/32" tall & wide tongue and groove with a .012" void in the joint for expansion and contraction of the wood during seasonal changes in relative humidity. The face of the design consists of a 3-15/16" broad flat line in the center, connected to a one-inch radius cove tangent off of a 27/32" broad flat line. When two pieces of milled lumber are joined together they create a 5-7/32" face coverage dimension with a 1-9/32" semicircular cove between the joined boards.

This cad generated dxf file (available for purchase in the link below) contains three skillfully drafted template designs for producing knives for this creative siding pattern. All our innovative profiles have a proven unbroken computer numerical control (CNC) tool path, expediting the production process.
