Tongue & Groove 5-7/16"

This 5-7/16" tongue & groove beadboard measures 5.687" width by .750" thickness, requiring a 5-15/16" wide blank of four-quarter lumber for milling on a commercial moulder. The elegant profile comprises a 1/4" tall by 9/32" wide groove on the right edge. The tongue dimension is 1/4" wide by 1/4" tall with a .010" void in the joint for expansion and contraction of the wood during seasonal changes in relative humidity. The face of the board consists of a 3/8" wide recessed bead flanked by forty-five-degree angles in the center. The bevels connect to a 2-11/32" line segment with a half circle and angle above the tongue and a single edge chamfer above the groove on the opposite side. When two pieces of lumber get joined, they create a lovely beadboard design with a face coverage dimension of 5-7/16" wide.
