Tongue & Groove 4-1/2" - 7

This 4-1/2" - 7 tongue & groove teardrop siding measures 4.750" width by .594" thickness. The overall size allows for a 5" wide blank of four-quarter lumber for milling on a commercial moulder. The functional profile contains a 17/64" wide by 1/4" tall groove and a 1/4" by 1/4" tongue with a built-in .008" void for seasonal changes in relative humidity. The detail comprises four 1-1/8" broad segments consisting of a 1/4" radius convex semicircle tangent off of a 7.638-degree downsloping angled line. When two pieces of milled lumber merge they create a 4-1/2" face coverage dimension with a decorative teardrop design for displacing moisture when used in outdoor applications.
