Tongue & Groove 4-1/2" - 5

This lovely 4-1/2" - 5 beadboard tongue & groove measures 4.750" width by .625" thickness. The overall size allows a 5" wide blank of four-quarter lumber for milling on an industrial moulder. The small beaded profile contains a 9/32" wide by 1/4" tall groove on the right and a 1/4" wide by 1/4" tall tongue, with a 1/32" back cut on the left. There is a .015" void in the T&G joint area for seasonal changes in relative humidity. The top comprises a recessed (.062") 1/8" wide half-circle joined to a 1/16" broad angle on the left. This area joins two 2" flat sections divided by a 1/4" wide beaded channel in the center with another 1/16" chamfer above the groove on the design's right side. When two pieces of milled lumber merge, they create a 4-1/2" face coverage dimension with 1/4" wide beaded channels and a 1/32" gap on the bottom to assure a perfect fit when installed.
