Tongue & Groove 1-1/2 - 12

This 1-1/2 - 12 v-groove siding/decking/roofing measures 1.500" in thickness; the widths can be adjusted to any desired size within the parameters of the moulder used to mill the pattern. The profile consists of a 1/2" wide by 3/8" deep tongue and groove, with a 1/4" wide and tall forty-five-degree bevel on each side edge of the pattern, there is .031" of void in the joint area for expansion and contraction of the lumber during seasonal changes in relative humidity. When two milled boards are joined together, they create a 1/2" wide by 1/4" deep v-groove on both face sides of the lumber, this detail is frequently used in roofing applications.
