Shiplap Moulding 8-1/2"

This log cabin shiplap siding molding 8-1/2" measures 8.500" wide by 1.500" thickness enabling the detail to be machined from eight quarter lumber, the exposed face dimension is eight inches wide. The attractive profile is comprised of a 10-17/64" radius arc on the face that simulates the side of a cut log, there is a 1/8" vertical step when two pieces of lumber are joined together. This stepped area allows water to drip onto the piece below it during foul weather conditions, deflecting moisture away from the joint. The backside rabbet dimension is 1/2" wide by 5/8" tall. We have a similar profile with a slightly smaller width and thickness for your review and consideration, shiplap 7.187 - 2". We also have some log cabin siding profiles with a tongue & groove joint instead of the lap joint.
