Shiplap 7-1/2" - 2

This 7-1/2" - 2 exterior channel shiplap siding measures 7.500" wide by .750" thickness, allowing the detail to be milled out of four-quarter lumber. The decorative, functional profile comprises a 5-9/16" broad flat line in the center, connected to a 1/2" wide by 5/16" deep angled line that merges with a 1-7/16" wide 4.95-degree beveled edge. Five-eights of an inch of this line is hidden underneath the piece of lumber in front of it together these create a 1-5/16" wide tapered channel when installed, which allows moisture to be driven away from the joint and onto the exposed face for accelerated evaporation when wet.

This professionally drafted cad dxf file (available for purchase in the box below) contains three high precision template designs to create cutters for this siding detail, one for milling the entire face side, one for the rabbet and one for milling just the profile portion of the design, this will allow for various widths to be milled, it will require two top horizontal cutter heads to achieve this.
