Shiplap Moulding 7" - 3

This shiplap siding moulding 7" - 3 measures 7.000" wide by .812" thickness. The pattern will require the use of a 7-1/4" wide blank of four-quarter lumber for milling on an industrial molder. The common clapboard profile comprises a 5-1/2" flat line segment in the center. The left side retains a 1/2" wide by 5/16" deep bevel to help displace moisture. This area joins a 1/2" broad fillet and a 1/2" tapered edge that fits into the rabbet on the right side edge. There is also a 1/16" rolled outer corner on the top face to help minimize splintering of the wood.
