Shiplap 5-1/2" - 5

This 5-1/2" - 5 channel shiplap siding measures 5.500" wide by .750" thickness, allowing the pattern to be machined from four-quarter lumber. The exposed coverage dimension is five inches wide when installed. The decorative siding profile is composed of a 4-1/2" broad straight line with a one inch wide by 3/8" deep rabbet on one side edge of the detail. There is a five-degree taper on the 1/2" drop-in elevation with another one on the rabbet, our high precision acrylic templates and knives include the required draft angles to maintain the ability to sharpen the blades properly without modifying the detail, while simultaneously prolonging the milling time between sharpening. When two pieces of milled lumber are joined together, they create a 1/2" wide by 3/8" deep channel/dado on the face side of the merged boards.
