Shiplap 5-1/2" - 1

This 5-1/2" - 1 # 371 beveled shiplap siding measures 5.500" wide by .687" thickness, allowing the pattern to be machined from resawn eight-quarter lumber. The profile is milled with the resawn side down on the molder bed plates with a smooth face-up. The left and right vertical cutter heads will mill the rabbet and small chamfer to ensure a perfect fit while simultaneously having the capability to wick moisture away from the joint area when installed. The widely used profile is composed of a 3/32" rounded tall edge, tangent off of a 4.64-degree beveled line that transitions the thickness to 9/32" on the thin side of the pattern.

This cad generated dxf file (purchase in the link below) contains three skillfully drafted template designs for producing knives for this common shiplap siding pattern. All our innovative profiles have a proven unbroken computer numerical control (CNC) tool path, expediting the production process.
