Shiplap 5-1/2"

This 5-1/2" Dolly Varden rustic shiplap siding measures 5.500" wide by 1.093" thickness, allowing both pieces to be machined from five-quarter lumber. After being resawn into two pieces with a band saw, the finish thickness will be 11/16" on the taller side and 9/32" on the opposite end. The backside rabbet measures 1/2" wide by 9/32" tall with a five-degree bevel to receive the next piece of siding which is typically face nailed above the rabbeted edge during installation. The acrylic template design has a v-notch built in the sides to help the saw operator identify the exact location of the cut; this helps control the tolerances of the finished product.
