Shiplap Siding 4-7/8"

This fluted shiplap siding 4-7/8" measures 4.875" wide by .812" thickness, permitting the pattern to be machined out of four-quarter lumber. The exposed face coverage dimension is 4-3/4" wide. The decorative profile is composed of a 1/8" wide by 1/8" deep kerf flanked by a 1/8" wide line segment in the center, connected to two 1-17/32" concave semicircular flutes joined to a 1/8" wide horizontal line on the left, the opposite side retains the same flat line with an added 1/8" rabbet on top. The two 1/8" side notches serve two purposes; they allow the pattern to become symmetrical when assembled. They also help minimize bowing & cupping from milling the flutes by securing the piece of wood in front of it during installation.
