The stepped pattern is comprised of three equally spaced beveled steps at 1-1/16" wide by 9/32" deep. The rabbet on the backside retains the same angle and height of the piece of lumber in front of it; this is adjustable axially to your specific requirements. This design includes the required draft angles to maintain the ability to sharpen the knives properly without modifying the detail while prolonging the milling time between sharpening.
Architects, interior designers, lumber mills, and manufacturers have been utilizing our wide variety of creative molding knife designs for years; we trust you will find that special profile to enhance the architectural style of your home. If you have any questions or concerns about knife grinding procedures for any of our moulding designs, please contact us, we would be honored to assist you.
