1-1/2" Quarter Round Moulding

This large quarter round molding 1-1/2" measures 1.500" width by 1.500" thickness requiring the use of a 1-3/4" wide blank of eight-quarter lumber for milling on an industrial molder. This profile contains a 1.500" radius convex arc. Most industrial molders can not swing a knife with a 1-1/2" depth of cut. We divided the milling into two equal portions to cut on the left vertical and top horizontal cutter heads. There is also a knife design included in the downloadable DXF file (available below) to machine the detail on a shaper in a single pass.
