Applied Moulding 5/8" - 18

This decorative plant on/applied moulding 5/8" - 18 measures .625" in width by .625" in thickness. The detail requires 2-3/16" wide blanks of four-quarter lumber for milling two pieces, doubling production in half the time on industrial machinery. The delightful patterns contain a 3/16" wide by 1/8" tall raised fillet on the top center. The middle gets flanked by a 7/32" radius downsloping arc with a 1/16" wide fillet, leaving a 3/16" thickness on each side edge of the design.

Caution: the cutters will come within .010" of the machine bed plates when milling this detail. We recommend a wooden, phenolic, or plastic sacrificial bed plate for these milling operations. For safety concerns, we strongly suggest an anti-kickback device for your machinery before attempting any milling procedures that involve splitting lumber into multiple pieces.
