Picture Rail 2-1/16" - 4

This fancy picture rail moulding 2-1/16" - 4 measures 2.062" wide by .812" thickness, enabling the detail to be milled out of four-quarter lumber. The piece is comprised of an 11/64" tall vertical line segment on the bottom left, attached to a two tangent semi-elliptical shaped three-quarter round bead on the top, attached to a graceful two tangent radius cyma reversa in the center, joined to a 7/16" wide half circle on the right side of the design. The embellishing profile is widely used in the upper portion of an interior wall. It is installed below the crown mould to hang artwork; this allows the artwork to be moved without leaving unsightly damage from nails, hooks, or other hanging hardware.
