PIcture Rail 1-3/4" - 49

This decorative 1-3/4" - 49 picture rail moulding measures 1.750" wide by .765" thickness, permitting the detail to be machined out of four-quarter lumber. The creative profile is comprised of a two tangent radius three-quarter circle joined to a 3/16" tall, straight line on the bottom left, the center consists of a 5/16" broad line segment connected to two-three tangent radiuses creating the cyma recta positioned on the right side of the pattern. These elegant profiles are usually installed in the upper portion of an interior wall to hang artwork from. They are generally located below the crown moulding. This makes it easy to move artwork around the room without damaging the interior walls from nails or other hanging devices. The three-quarter round portion of the profile is utilized for support hooks for hanging artwork.
