Picture Rail 1-1/2" - 79

This beautiful 1-1/2" - 79 picture rail moulding measures 1.500" wide by .687" thickness, allowing the pattern to be milled from four-quarter lumber. The functional profile is composed of a 5/8" wide three-quarter circle on the left. This area is where the hooks that hold the artwork hang from joined to a 7/16" broad line segment with a 5/64" deep vertical step that transitions into a two tangent radius ogee leaving a 7/64" thickness dimension on the right side of the pattern. These mouldings are commonly installed between eleven and nineteen inches on the wall from the top of the ceiling; of course, these dimensions are always proportional to the height of the room's ceilings.
