This balustrade fillet 1-1/2" - 50 applied moulding measures 1.500" wide by .500" thickness, enabling the detail to be milled out of four-quarter lumber. The symmetrical profile is comprised of a bidirectional three-tangent radius cyma reversa on top, this wave-like design transitions the thickness to 5/16" tall on each side edge of the shape. The pattern is used to fill the gap between balusters on the underside of
handrail. The top side of a
floor rail design is commonly utilized in a balustrade section of a balcony guardrail or on a stairway.
