Picture Frame 3-1/8" - 4

The unique picture frame replicates an art frame used by early settlers in the western United States; it's displayed in many houses of worship to highlight the pioneer's artwork and consists of two parts to save money on lumber and knife costs. The lower portion retains a 5/64" by 7/16" tall notch joined to a 1-9/64" flat area for the upper piece to sit on. The area connects to a 1-17/64" congee derived from a 7/16" cove in the center. The last section retains a thin sunk fillet merged with a domed area with a centered flute. It attaches to an ogee positioned above the 5/16" by 7/8" rabbet for the artwork. The profile measures 3-1/8" in width by 1-13/16" in thickness. The recommended rough wood rip size for the large pattern using eight-quarter lumber is 3-3/8" wide. The rough lumber rip size for minor detail using four-quarter lumber is 1-1/8" wide. The symmetrical upper piece measures 57/64" wide by 7/16" tall.
